The variety is one of the first Polish breeding lines of Virginia-type tobacco obtained at the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation (IUNG-PIB). Interspecific hybridization methods were used in the breeding process to introduce disease resistance genes.

The plant possesses specific resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), manifesting as a hypersensitive response. Resistance to potato virus Y and black root rot is also noted. In comparative morphological studies, the variety demonstrates plant height and leaf number indices exceeding those of certain other experimental lines.
