The variety forms upright semi-spreading bushes 50–60 cm tall. The leaves are large, elongated-ovate with a serrated margin, and have a dark green color with a pronounced anthocyanin tint. The flowers of the plant are pink.
The variety is mid-season, the period from germination to technical maturity is 60–70 days; there are also reports of a 138-day growing season. It possesses a strong spicy aroma with notes of cinnamon.
The plant is demanding of soil fertility and regular watering. The produce is used fresh as salad greens, a spicy additive to dishes, and for canning.
