The variety was obtained as a result of a targeted breeding program aimed at improving the genotype of olive trees. Plants of this type are characterized by a compact size and medium vigor, which makes them suitable for the formation of "hedgerow" olive orchards.

The economic value of the variety lies in the increased oil yield and improved organoleptic properties of the fruits. In scientific literature, the genotype of the variety is also being studied for resistance to pathogens, in particular to anthracnose, in comparison with traditional varieties.
