The variety was obtained by crossing S. Andrea and Galileo. The vegetation period is about 135 days, the height of semi-dwarf plants reaches 95 cm. The rice is characterized by high resistance to lodging, rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae), and helminthosporiosis, and also possesses good cold tolerance.
The pearl-type grain has a length of 6.5–6.8 mm and a width of 3.1–3.2 mm, contains 18% amylose, and is neither aromatic nor glutinous. When cooked, the variety maintains its shape, and the cooking time is 14–16 minutes.
The variety is suitable for early and late sowing dates up to May 20, the seeding rate is 180–200 kg/ha. During cultivation, fungicide treatment is recommended.
