The variety belongs to the japonica type and was developed as a result of breeding work in the city of Szarvas. It is intended for cultivation in the temperate climate conditions of Europe and possesses good culinary grain qualities.
The plant exhibits drought tolerance. In experiments, the variety showed variable yields depending on irrigation methods, demonstrating better results with intermittent irrigation compared to continuous flooding. Its response to environmental stress factors, including soil salinity, was also studied.
During the use of the variety, sensitivity to the fungal disease "yellow spot" was identified, which led to a decrease in its use in industrial production. Currently, the variety retains significance as an object of scientific research into the physical and mechanical properties of the grain and agrotechnologies.
