Karnak is a semi-dwarf variety, which provides it with high resistance to lodging. The grain of the variety is awnless, belongs to the "long-grain A" category, and its dimensions after processing are 6.60 by 3.30 mm. The plant adapts well to warm climatic conditions; sowing is recommended in the first ten days of May.
The variety possesses resistance to fungal diseases and is used in cooking, in particular for preparing risotto. Due to its characteristics, the variety is often considered an alternative to the Carnaroli variety in industrial cultivation, although it retains its individual genetic and consumer features.
