The Kirkpınar variety was developed through selection from the hybrid combination İpsala × 80110-TR253-4-1-1. The plant reaches a height of 100–105 cm, has broad light-green leaves and elongated yellow grains, with a thousand kernel weight of 37–38 g. The variety is characterized by early flowering, occurring in approximately 87 days.
The plant possesses a certain tolerance to soil salinity, but is susceptible to white tip disease caused by the nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi. The variety is valued for its high grain quality and is used as table rice, and is also frequently used in breeding work for the development of new varieties.
