The variety belongs to the Portuguese carolino rice type and is adapted to the edaphoclimatic conditions of growing regions such as Baixo Mondego. The duration of the vegetative cycle of the variety varies from 134 to 145 days.

Morphological studies record a panicle length of about 17.33 cm and a grain length of about 6.72 mm. The variety is used in genetic studies, in particular for studying adaptation to stress conditions and resistance to nematodes, while it does not possess a specific mutation affecting grain size.
