The variety Pasali is classified as a representative of the japonica type. The plant possesses pronounced resistance to the effects of low temperatures, which makes it suitable for cultivation in regions with a temperate climate, where the crop may be subjected to temperature stress.
The variety shows a high capacity for the absorption of mineral substances, due to which it is considered a promising subject for biofortification. In breeding work, Pasali is used as a parent form, including in studies of cytoplasmic male sterility for the production of pollinator lines.
