The variety is the result of the hybridization of the Lady Wright and Greppi varieties. The semi-conical grain has a length of approximately 6.5 mm. The variety is characterized by a medium amylose content and susceptibility to fungal diseases, as well as a tendency to lodging due to the weight of the panicles.

It is traditionally used in Italian cuisine for preparing risotto due to its ability to create a creamy texture in the dish. Currently, the variety belongs to the preserved category and is grown in limited quantities in the province of Novara.
