The variety is a representative of the nigro-apiculata botanical variety. Plants reach a height of 95–100 cm and have a slightly drooping panicle of medium length (16–18 cm). The growing season lasts 112–123 days. The caryopsis is elongated, with a length-to-width ratio of 2.4–2.5; the thousand kernel weight is 29–31 g.
Renar is recommended for cultivation in the western delta zone of Krasnodar Krai and is suitable for early April sowing due to the high growth rate of the seedlings. The variety is moderately resistant to rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae) and possesses high technological and culinary grain quality.
