The variety «Полтавське золотисте» was obtained by the method of individual repeated selection from the variety «Благодатное» and belongs to the aureum variety. The plant is characterized by an erect bush with a stem of medium thickness and good foliage, reaching a height of about 42 cm.

The variety is drought-tolerant and has a universal purpose: grain, food, and fodder. Culinary and technological properties of the grain are high, with protein content varying from 9.36 to 15.07% depending on growing conditions.
