The variety belongs to the group of industrial varieties and is characterized by a high content of narcotine (noscapine), ranging from 20 to 25 mg/g in the plant capsules. The seed oil contains from 19.11 to 23.63% monounsaturated fatty acids.

The plant belongs to the spring maturity group and has light-violet flowers. In breeding programs, the variety is used as a parental form for hybridization due to its specific chemical profile. Genetic origin includes forms of French and English origin.
