Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is classified as industrial. In scientific research, the genotype is characterized by a specific chemical composition with an increased content of narcotine (noscapine).

The variety has been used in breeding programs as a maternal plant for the development of new varieties with a specified alkaloid content. In UPOV technical questionnaires, the variety is used as an example for describing the morphological characteristics of the capsule; however, a detailed description of the plant's agrotechnical characteristics is absent in open publications.
