The plant has an upright habit, characterized by sparse stem pubescence and the absence of anthocyanin coloration. The leaves are opposite, sessile, have an ovate or lanceolate shape with an acute tip and an entire margin, and the upper side of the leaves is medium green with a weak gloss.

The thyrse-type inflorescence is located terminally and in the leaf axils. The corolla is tubular, the inner side of the petals is white with a secondary purple-blue shade on the margins, and the outer side of the tube is white with a purple or blue-pink shade at the base.
