Variety description

The Pheni Reeda variety belongs to the genus Penstemon and the Penstemon × mexicali or Penstemon hartwegii series. The plant reaches a height of 50–60 cm and has narrow, medium-green leaves with a slight sheen.
Flowering lasts from June to August or autumn. The flowers are large, tubular or bell-shaped, and are gathered in panicles on upright stems. The plant prefers well-drained soils and has winter hardiness up to zone 5.
The variety is intended for decorating flower beds, containers, and borders, and is also suitable for cutting. In regions with severe winters, it can be grown as an annual crop.
