The plant reaches a height of 10–20 cm, sometimes up to 30 cm. The dark green leaves are located on long succulent petioles. From spring to autumn, upright spike-like inflorescences with small greenish-white flowers are formed.

Peperomia caperata is grown in pots, terrariums, and bottle gardens. The plant prefers diffused light or partial shade, moderate watering after the top layer of soil has dried out, and increased air humidity.
