The plant is vigorous and energetic, reaches a height of more than 2.5–3 meters, and requires mandatory support to prevent lodging. The variety is characterized as late-maturing.

The seeds are very large, flat, white or ivory in color, and have a kidney-shaped or nearly square shape. During culinary processing, the seeds acquire a delicate texture and the skin becomes thin.

The variety is traditionally used for preparing traditional dishes, such as ragu or cassoulet. Currently, it is preserved as part of the cultural heritage of the Soissons region in France.
