The plant is climbing and reaches a height of 3–4 meters, requiring the use of supports. The period from germination to harvest is about 120 days; vegetation continues until the first frosts. The variety possesses relative resistance to low temperatures, characteristic of Phaseolus coccineus.
Pods at the maturity stage acquire a black-brown color and a coarse fibrous structure, therefore they are not used for food in a green state. The crop is grown to obtain dry grain, which is characterized by a very large size, white color, and kidney shape. After cooking, the seeds have a tender buttery consistency and a mild flavor.
The variety is intended for amateur and professional cultivation, and thanks to its decorative flowering and rapid growth, it can be used for vertical landscaping. Harvesting is difficult due to the uneven ripening of the pods and requires manual labor.
