Variety description

10 August 2026

The Messi variety plant is of the bush type, compact, with a height of 30–40 cm. The leaves have a wrinkled texture and are medium to large in size; the flowers are small and white. The dark green pods reach a length of 13–15 cm and a thickness of about 9 mm. They are round in shape, straight or slightly curved, and lack a parchment layer and fibers.

The period from emergence to technical maturity is 50–55 days. Up to 15–20 pods form on one plant. The variety possesses resistance to lodging, as well as to anthracnose and bean common mosaic virus. The produce is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and freezing.
