Schiaccione di Pietrasanta is a climbing bean variety, representing an autochthonous local landrace. The plant possesses high productivity, forming abundant pods with medium to large-sized seeds. The grains have a white color and a characteristic elongated, rather flat shape.

The variety is distinguished by a thin skin and a tender grain consistency. Historically, it is associated with the Pietrasanta municipality and is traditionally used in cooking, in particular, for preparing «al fiasco» beans by stewing in glass vessels.
