The variety is an upright herbaceous perennial with dark green lanceolate leaves. The plant forms terminal inflorescences consisting of fragrant white tubular flowers.

The variety possesses sturdy stems, which prevents lodging. The plant prefers fertile, moist soils and areas with good sunlight or partial shade.

Like other representatives of the species, the variety can be susceptible to powdery mildew, gray mold, and leaf gall midge.
