Variety description

The inflorescences of the variety are dense formations of modified, twisted bracts resembling unopened buds or a "shaggy hedgehog". The plant reaches a height of 70–90 cm.

Flowering begins in mid-August and lasts up to 10–12 weeks. Due to the sterility of the inflorescences, the variety maintains its decorative effect until persistent frosts. The specific shape of the inflorescences makes diagnosing viral flower breaking difficult, which requires increased attention to the condition of the plantings.

The plant is used in group plantings and mixed borders. The inflorescences are suitable for cutting and can be used as dried flowers for winter arrangements.
