The plant forms dense mats or cushions. The dark green leaves have a needle-like shape. The flowers are characterized by a star shape and blue petal coloration.

The variety belongs to early-flowering plants. The crop is distinguished by growth vigor and disease resistance, and prefers sunny sites with well-drained soils. It is used for landscaping alpine slides, rock gardens, retaining walls, and borders.
