Variety description

The plant forms dense evergreen cushions 10–15 cm high. The foliage is small, needle-like, dark green, and the stems may have a reddish tint.
The flowers are star-shaped, colored a saturated purple with a darker center and yellow stamens. The variety is early-flowering, blooming several weeks earlier than other representatives of the species.
The plant is distinguished by vigorous growth, winter hardiness, and good resistance to diseases. Used in landscape design to create flower carpets in borders, rock gardens, rockeries, and on slopes.
