Variety description

The variety is a compact dense evergreen shrub 1.0–1.5 m in height and width. The leaves are leathery, glossy, dark green in color, lanceolate or oblong in shape.
Flowering occurs in March–April. The flowers are gathered in large drooping pale pink inflorescences. The plant is valued as a honey plant, attracting pollinating insects.
The variety is considered strong and resistant to diseases. Frost resistance is estimated as moderate (down to -15...-10°C). The plant prefers acidic, humus-rich, moist and well-drained soils, and tolerates sun and partial shade well. It grows slowly and requires practically no pruning.
