The Bondi variety (sometimes referred to as APB Bondi) is classified as a field pea and belongs to the "Kaspa" type category (dun field pea). It is used as a forage crop rather than a vegetable sugar pea.
The variety is mentioned in Australian winter crop sowing guides. Historically, the name "Bondi" also appeared in variety lists in Denmark in the 1970–1990s, however, current data on its active commercial use as a primary product is limited.
