The Bohun variety belongs to the field pea group. In scientific literature, it is known as an object of long-term breeding and physiological research conducted in Poland, which also includes the chemical composition of seeds, including the content of raffinose-family oligosaccharides, and the response of the variety to various tillage systems.
In a number of studies, the variety demonstrates relative resistance to downy mildew and infection by the fungus Mycosphaerella pinodes, which causes pea ascochyta blight.
