The Boaryd variety belongs to the sugar group and is characterized by a late maturity group. The height of the plant stems can reach 200 cm, so supports are required for cultivation. Externally, the plant is bushy, with small leaves and white flowers.
The green pods of the variety are long, narrow, crisp, and sweet, consumed whole in an immature state. Each pod typically contains from 5 to 8 seeds. The variety is considered hardy, however, like other pea varieties, it may be susceptible to powdery mildew.
