The variety is characterized by a long stem and good lodging resistance for this type of plant, which makes it suitable for cultivation on light or less fertile soils. Under variety trial conditions, the variety showed the ability to effectively enter into symbiosis with nodule bacteria, which influenced protein accumulation in seeds.
The variety was used in breeding work as an initial component for developing new varieties, including the Lithuanian variety Lina DS. Due to its agronomic qualities, Grafila was used in the agricultural practice of European countries, especially in conditions requiring the cultivation of varieties suitable for mechanized harvesting.
