The Jokari variety is genetic material that acts as a parent line in the breeding of other pea varieties, in particular the Boldor variety, obtained from the crossing of Hardy and Jokari. In professional agronomic circles, it is valued as breeding material for improving the economic traits of crops.

An independent description of Jokari as a commercial variety is rare. Its characteristics are indirectly reflected in the traits of derivative varieties, which are characterized as semi-leafless, mid-season with a vegetation period of 61–83 days, having white flowers, yellow cotyledons, and high lodging resistance.
