The variety is an afila type, in which leaflets are modified into tendrils. The breeding process involved the backcrossing method to introduce afila-type traits into the Waverex variety. The plant is characterized as a full-season maturity variety.
The variety is intended for industrial use, in particular for the gourmet segment and for obtaining high-quality products suitable for freezing. When mature, it forms wrinkled seeds belonging to the small sieve fraction.
