The Progolt variety, also known as Agri 54/78, belongs to the large blue pea group. The plant has a long stem and a traditional rather than semi-leafless leaf type. The variety is characterized as early-maturing.
In 1986 comparative trials, the variety showed a yield exceeding the standard of that time, the Maro variety. At the same time, Progolt had low lodging resistance. Currently, the variety is mentioned primarily in the context of genetic resource collections.
