The variety belongs to the late-maturing group and is tall: the stem height reaches 1.5–1.8 meters. The plant has thick, strong stems and large, light green leaves. Large white flowers usually appear in pairs.
The pods, about 10 cm long, are broad in shape with nearly square ends and a slight curve. The seeds are large, with a bluish tint, and become slightly flattened or indented upon ripening. Each pod contains 5 to 8 peas. The variety was intended for culinary use, including the preparation of soups.
