The variety ENDURA® Fa «A17» is a selection of Platanus × hispanica. The plant has a semi-erect crown type, with a more compact habit compared to the related variety ENDURA® Sol «8R61».

A key feature of the variety is its high resistance to pathogens such as plane tree canker (Ceratocystis platani) and anthracnose. The variety was developed for use in landscape design and urban landscaping as an alternative to old plane tree plantings.
