Variety description

The tree reaches a height of 20–30 meters and has bark typical of the species that exfoliates to form a mottled pattern, and large palmate-lobed leaves. The crown is formed in a pyramidal shape.

The variety is resistant to the pathogen Ceratocystis platani, which causes canker stain of plane, as well as to anthracnose and powdery mildew. Increased resistance to damage by the sycamore lace bug is noted. However, when planted in soils already infected with the canker pathogen, plants may die.

The tree is intended for urban landscaping, the creation of park zones, and avenues. The variety was obtained by crossing resistant forms of American sycamore with adapted genotypes of Oriental plane.
