The variety is a dwarf form derived from 'Sieboldii' seedlings. At 12 years of age, the plant reaches a height of 30–40 cm. The crown has a globose shape, and the foliage consists of soft juvenile needles.
The plant possesses high resistance to drought, low temperatures, and diseases, and is undemanding to soils. Due to its compactness, the variety is used in landscape design for rock gardens, alpine slides, and container gardening.
