The variety belongs to the common Kentucky bluegrass group, which consists of selections from naturalized ecotypes. The plant has an upright growth habit and a narrow leaf blade, and it may be prone to producing a large number of tillers early in the season.
The variety possesses good stress tolerance, although under conditions of extreme heat or drought, it may enter a state of summer dormancy with subsequent regrowth. It is characterized by susceptibility to leaf spot.
