Variety description

The variety is an intraspecific hybrid obtained from crossing two forms from Illinois. The plant is a male clone, due to which it does not produce poplar fluff. The tree crown is spreading and well-aerated, the trunk is straight.

Phenological features include red coloration of leaves during bud break. Bud break timing occurs later than the I-214 variety, but earlier than the Alcinde variety, while foliage drop occurs significantly later than both control varieties.

Wood density at 2 years of age is 320 kg/m³. The variety is characterized by high survival rates in the nursery and at the permanent site, demonstrating good growth in height and trunk circumference. The plant is adapted to various types of alluvial sites and soils, and requires mandatory formative pruning.
