Variety description

The tree reaches 6–15 meters in height with a crown width of 2–4 meters. The shoots are purple-brown in color, often with beige speckles. The leaves are broad triangular in shape, 10–20 cm long, shiny at a young age, dark red-violet, and acquire purple-green or green-brown shades in summer while retaining the red color of the veins and petioles.

The variety is very fast-growing and characterized by high frost resistance down to -35 °C. The plant is resistant to urban conditions and air pollution, and adapts well to various soil types, including moist ones. Flowering in the form of catkins occurs in April-May.

The tree is wind-resistant due to a developed root system and tolerates pruning well. It is used in landscape design as a solitaire, in alley and group plantings, and for forming hedges and windbreaks.
