The variety is very early, ripening in Northern Italy conditions around May 20. The fruits are of medium size and have a good taste with a distinct aroma, however, they are characterized by a rapid loss of flesh firmness during ripening.
The plant is susceptible to canker caused by Pseudomonas spp. and to frost. For flower buds to emerge from dormancy, the variety requires about 900–1000 chill hours at temperatures below 7°C. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties.
