The Magyar legjobb variety, also known as Magyar kajszi, is an old Hungarian variety. It is traditionally used as one of the main varieties for the production of high-quality apricot pálinka. A feature of the technological process is the use of fruits together with the pits to give the drink a specific aroma and taste.

In scientific literature, the variety is mentioned in the context of phytopathological studies. In particular, symptoms of plum pox virus infection have been recorded on the leaves of this variety.
