Magyarkajszi represents a group of landrace varieties that are historically significant for breeding. The tree is vigorous, with a wide-spreading crown of medium density. The fruits have an average weight of 40 to 85 grams, a blunt-heart or rounded shape, and a yellow-orange color with a red blush.

The flesh of the fruit is juicy and firm, possessing a rich taste with a hint of acidity. The pit is medium-sized, separates well from the flesh, and the kernel is sweet. The maturity period of the variety is medium or medium-late. Resistance to diseases may vary; susceptibility to phytoplasmoses is noted.
