The name Mandorla Dolce encompasses ancient apricot forms mentioned in Italian pomology since the beginning of the 20th century. The plants are characterized by an expanded crown shape, medium vigor, and upright branches. Varieties in this group are self-fertile and have pink flowers.

The fruits are medium to large in size, ovate in shape, and have pubescent skin of a yellow-orange color with a pink-red blush. The flesh is orange, moderately firm, with medium flavor intensity and medium acidity. Harvesting takes place from the end of June to early July.
