The rootstock is characterized by high growth vigor and is recommended for planting on light, well-drained soils. When used in nurseries, it ensures the production of uniform seedlings. Its effect on grafted varieties is expressed in good productivity, although it may lead to some delay in the onset of tree fruit bearing.

The plant possesses resistance to nematodes, but is characterized by high sensitivity to bacterial canker and plum pox virus. Pronounced sensitivity of the rootstock to root asphyxia caused by waterlogged soil is also noted.
