The variety ripens in the second half of July, approximately 5–7 days after the «Magyar kajszi» variety. The fruits are large, strongly elongated, and laterally compressed. The skin is light orange with a carmine-red blush; the flesh is orange with a sweetish taste.

The tree is distinguished by late flowering, which allows it to avoid spring frosts, and is partially self-fertile. For pollination, the varieties «Bergeron», «Ceglédi arany» or «Magyar kajszi» are recommended. The variety is moderately sensitive to Plum pox virus and prone to Monilinia laxa and leaf spot.

The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and are highly valued as raw material for the preparation of compotes and jams.
