The MHL2 rootstock form is characterized by a medium or vigorous growth habit and a spreading crown shape. The plant's one-year-old shoots are thin or of medium thickness.
The leaves are ovate in shape and light green in color. Two characteristic rounded glands with a purple hue are located on the leaf petioles.
