Mělnická, also known as Mělnická melounová, is a traditional local apricot variety originating from the Czech Republic. The variety is not a result of modern directed breeding and is preserved as part of the national genetic pool.
The variety has historical significance for fruit crop breeding. Specifically, it was used as a parent form in open pollination to develop the Czech apricot variety Darina.
