IFG Cher-two
ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the group of heart-shaped sweet cherries. The fruits are medium-sized, dark-colored, and possess a delicate and spicy taste. Due to the very early ripening period in early June, the harvest often avoids damage by the cherry fruit fly, but due to the high tenderness of the fruits, they tolerate transportation poorly.
The tree is distinguished by healthy growth, low maintenance, and high longevity, while being able to adapt to adverse climatic conditions. The variety is cross-pollinated, enters into fruit-bearing early, and provides regular yields.
The variety is used in amateur gardening and in the restoration of historical fruit alleys or landscape plantings.
