Fercino is a clonal rootstock of French selection, originating from cherry plum. In professional horticulture and nursery production, this rootstock is used as a vegetatively propagated root system for growing Prunus domestica saplings.

In agronomic studies, this rootstock is classified as sufficiently vigorous. When compared with some other rootstocks, it demonstrates significant increase in trunk diameter and provides good compatibility with plum varieties grafted onto it.
